چکیده (انگلیسی):
A mathematical model for blood flow through stenossed artery has been presented. Blood is assumed to be represented by Newtonian fluid. A perturbation technique has been used to investigate the blood flow. It has been realized that various hydrodynamics effects play important role in the development of several diseases related to blood flow. An analysis of the effect of an axially symmetric time dependent growth into the lumen of a tube for constant cross section through which a Newtonian fluid is steadily flowing is presented. Based on the assumption that arterial blood flow is quasi-steady, this work has been under taken to investigate the structure of flow through arterial model with one or two sinusoidal stenoses. Numerical analysis has been performed using an integral momentum method.
Integral momentum method as a part of others numerical method has been used to solve a problem of industrial importance. The validity of the method was examined by comparison of experimental data so far reported with theoretical results. Centre line velocity and wall shear stress distribution were obtained in a model with stenoses simulating a part of the vertebral artery.
