Student leadership and branches of knowledge: an approximate study at the University of Granada

چکیده (انگلیسی):
We present a descriptive research conducted at the University of Granada whose
main objective: Understand, describe, analyze and assess the perceptions of
university student leaders about themselves, according to the different centers and
fees, and make proposals for improvements to encourage participation students in
the electoral process and in university politics. We carried out a non-experimental
design, and made the collection of information through questionnaires, semistructured interviews and discussion groups on a purposive sample of 73
representatives and student leaders belonging to different branches of knowledge
interviews which we have to access. The analysis of the data obtained has allowed
us to obtain a description of the various positions of student representation and
political life at the University of Granada, and establish future lines of improvement
based on perceptions, expectations, performance of its functions and ratings of the
representatives themselves. As findings in this study suggest the need to encourage
student participation and leadership through recognition of free credits and
certifications for management activities and representation of students, and
improved infrastructure to perform their representative duties
