چکیده (انگلیسی):
The effect of thermal radiation and temperature dependent viscosity on free convective flow and mass transfer of an electrically conducting fluid over an isothermal stretching sheet is investigated. The sheet is being stretched linearly in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field and the flow is governed by the second-order viscoelastic fluid. The nonlinear boundary layer equations together with the boundary conditions are reduced to a system of non-linear ordinary differential equations by using a similarity transformation. The transformed equations are solved by developing a suitable numerical technique such as finite difference scheme along with the Newton’s linearization method. The results of this study concerned with the velocity, temperature and concentration profiles as well as with the local skin-friction coefficient Cf, local Nusselt number Nu and the local Sherwood number Sh for different values of the physical parameters of interest. The effect of thermal radiation and variable viscosity can lead to the decrease of heat transfer, whereas the presence of viscoelasticity of the fluid and magnetic field causes increase of the heat transfer.
